before applying to be considered as a potential owner.
Cupidtown dogs are not sold without a contract of sale. This contract is a legally binding agreement which was designed with the fairness of the purchaser, breeder, and dog in mind. Once you have made an application for adopting one of our fur babies, you can then proceed to fill in the necessary paper work to either email or post to me. This will take place prior to the final stage of adoption, the collection or shipping. If you are not willing to sign sale contracts, then please make your purchases elsewhere. Take your time to read the contracts thoroughly and if you agree with the terms, then you can sign and return the original contract to the address which will be provided to you.
Unfortunately, due to security reasons, I no longer allow visitors to my private residence. Please understand, that although I would love for you to come and see our puppies in their home, it is also our home and I cherish my privacy, the security of all my dogs and don't expose myself or my dogs to any risks.
All our puppies are vet checked, immunized, and registered with the Victorian Canine Association now known as Dogs Victoria. If they are pets only, they will be registered on limit register. This means that the dog/bitch sold is for pet only, and cannot be bred, exhibited, or exported. We request all pets be castrated and or spayed. Upon sending us the proof they have been spayed or castrated, at six months old, (which is usually the best time as any retained baby teeth can also be removed at the time) sparing the dog to have to undergo anesthetic more than once, we will forward the limit registration pedigree. If the purchaser does not intend on becoming a member of their kennel association and does not require the limit registration pedigree, send the form relinquishing the rights to such documentation.
I require a $200 deposit on the puppy by age of six weeks old and the rest of the amount paid in full prior to the pup being freighted or at the time of pick up at an allocated area. The deposit is non refundable, except as stated below. The only time a deposit will be refunded to a purchaser is if the breeder decides to withdraw the puppy from sale, such as if the puppy fails the medical at eight weeks old. In which case, the purchaser will be refunded the deposit, or by agreement, roll it over on to another puppy. If the breeder feels the purchaser is not suitable for adoption of a puppy, confirmed through communications leading up to the sale, the breeder will refund the deposit.
I am happy to keep in contact, via email with potential buyers and will give preference to the potential buyers who do make the effort to allow me to get to know them better prior to the actual adoption. Pictures of the babies and updates will only be given to potential buyers showing a keen interest and have made the deposit.
Puppies will be sold with diet and care sheets and all necessary information for the welfare of the puppy and Health Certificate. I also make myself available for any questions via email and guarantee quick responses. In fact, I like to keep in touch with adoptive puppy parents and learn of the dog's progress.
Dogs/bitches/pups on full registration pedigree, for showing and or breeding purposes, will no longer be made available to breeders/exhibitors within Australia. We may make an exception to this, depending on the circumstances.
We are located in Australia, so for overseas inquiries, please check with your importation companies for what requirements and cost will be involved with purchasing a puppy from Australia. Thankfully, Australia is a rabies free country, and to my knowledge, apart from blood tests, there appears not to be a need for quarantine when Australian dogs are exported. Onus is up to the purchaser to make these inquiries with the appropriate authorities in their home country.
During Summer, puppies will only be freighted when there is a cool change, or early morning. Pick ups the same rule applies.
